Welcome to Independence Christian School
Our mission is to teach and train students with a Biblical worldview, promoting wise decisions and lifelong, God-honoring service. At ICS, students learn academics through a God-centered lens, enabling them to think critically and Biblically about the world while discovering their God-given purpose.
CHAMPIONSHIP ATHLETICS
Our Athletic Department offers a competitive after-school sports program where students can play basketball, soccer, volleyball, and flag football against other Christian schools in Orange County. We strive to cultivate teamwork, discipline, and a love for sports among our students.
THE ARTS AT INDEPENDENCE
ICS students gain access to CAPA (Cornerstone Academy of Performing Arts), Orange County’s only Christian-focused arts program. Dance classes include tap, ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and tumbling. We also offer music fundamentals, band, orchestra, choir, and private instrument and voice lessons right here on campus!
STUDENT LIFE
At ICS, small class sizes foster close friendships and a family-like atmosphere. Weekly chapels, themed days, and end-of-semester awards programs enrich students’ experience, helping them grow in character, public speaking, and teamwork.
OUR HISTORY
Founded in 1975, Independence Christian School has been a place where students can grow into the people God created them to be. In 2010, we moved to our beautiful facility at Cornerstone Church. Over the years, our alumni have become respected members of society, many returning to support our mission by volunteering, working, or enrolling their own children here.
